What Is The Learning Place?

• Bayside Academy's supplemental educational center that is located in the Media Center.

What Can The Learning Place Do For You?

• Identify learning styles
• Give individual & small group instruction
• Offer communication with the classroom teacher
• Reinforce classroom skills
• Assist & identify area(s) of weakness
• Help foster positive self-esteem and confidence
• Develop study skills
• Give extended testing, including semester exams
• Offer a quiet, private environment

Criteria for Enrolling

• Bayside Student K-12th
• Full psycho-educational testing
• Diagnosis in at least one of the following areas:
  • Learning Disorder
  • Attention Deficit Disorder
  • Central Auditory Processing Disorder

When Do Students Come To The Learning Place?

• Need based: 1-5 sessions or just to take tests
• K-4th/30 minute sessions
• 5th-12th/Class period
• Sign up for the quarter
• Extra cost
• Enrolled in LP - no additional cost for weekly tests
• All diagnosed students at Bayside have option to take semester exams in LP at zero cost. We must have testing on file in LP.
