Booster Club

The Bayside Athletic Booster Club was established in 2002 to enhance athletics at Bayside Academy and to assist in the development of the football program. In the past four years, we have:

  • contributed to the construction of the field house
  • contributed to the construction of the Hwy. 64 athletic field
  • helped transport and lodge teams for numerous state play-offs
  • purchased equipment for various teams
  • published the athletic program
  • and established concessions at home games from MS through Varsity

The Booster Club usually meets once a month on Wednesdays, more often as needed. The Voting Body consists of the Athletic Director, President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. The meetings are open, parents are welcome and volunteers are always needed.

Our goals for the fifth year are

  • Assist with the completion of the fencing and lighting on Hwy 64 field
  • Relocate concession stand and assist as needed with completion of stadium seating area
  • Provide announcer, security and concessions for Friday night home football games
  • Assist with transportation and lodging costs for state championship of any sport
  • Enhance publication of the athletic program to include all MS Ð Varsity sports and 5 & 6th grade football and cheerleaders
  • Establish a uniform fund that can be allotted as needed for MS, JV and Varsity teams
  • Participate in the Family Picnic, Fall Fine Arts Festival by providing hamburgers/hotdogs
  • Increase availability of spirit items
  • Assist with athletic projects within the capital campaign

Funds are raised through membership, program advertisement, concession stands, sale of spirit items, Christmas wreath sales.

Booster Club Membership is $200 per school year. Membership entitles you and your spouse free admission to all home athletic events, a Bayside Stadium chair and a parking sticker for reserved parking in the Belrose Ave lot for all home football games. Families with a student athlete are encouraged to join the Booster Club. All funds raised are used to enhance our athletic program. Parent volunteers are always welcome to help with our fall membership drive.

The Athletic Program will be published three times this year. Aug 15th printing will include football, cheerleaders, volleyball, x-country. Nov 15th edition cover the basketball season, cheerleaders and the Dance Team. The Feb 1st edition will include soccer, baseball, softball, tennis, golf and track/field. Volunteers are needed to help with advertisement, lay-out, and promotion.

Concession stands are organized and run by the parents of the athletes in a given sport. Fall football concessions require lots of volunteers. A team parent or representative of a team is responsible for working with the Booster Club to organize a team's concession.

Christmas Wreath Sales are conducted in the fall. Beautiful fresh pine wreaths and holiday decorations are sold until November for delivery in early December. Volunteers are needed to sell orders and assist with pickup.

Family Festival Day Grill - Volunteers are needed to cook, serve and cleanup. We'll also have a table set up for Booster Club membership drive and spirit items sale.
