Bayside Academy offers the following volunteer opportunities for our parents:

Office Assistants
Bayside Academy is always in need of helpers to lend a hand for daily duties to keep the school humming! If you can donate an hour or two on an as-needed basis to answer the phone, make copies, stuff envelopes, and the like, this would be a great way for you to help out!
Ice Cream Social
Back to School Ice Cream Social – Every school year starts in the same sweet way, with Bayside’s Annual Ice Cream Social! Come spend the first day of school on campus, see your child and their friends and scoop bowls of vanilla and chocolate for all of the students!

Run Time: Approx. 3 hours
Where: Students Activity Center
John A. Robertson Memorial Golf Tournament
This annual golf event attracts a large group of Bayside friends who enjoy the lively competition held at Rock Creek. Come spend the day on the beautiful green, helping with registration, distributing shirts or awards, or being a “hole” spotter!

Run Time: One afternoon, you can take a shift!;

Spring Fundraiser
This is Bayside’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Details to come.

Bayside Parent Association’s ONLY Fundraiser (OUR ENTIRE BUDGET)

Fall Festival
Bayside Parents' Association’s Family Fun Event
This festival wins the hearts of all the Bayside Kids!!!!!!
If you are interested in chairing this committee......you will be truly be blessed with lots of giggles, smiles, red lips, blue lips, high fives and yearbook memories. We are looking to fill the chair of this committee. This event really does take a village (in small shifts). There will be booths to decorate and staff for the day.... Definitely a family fun favorite!!!!!

WHERE: Bayside’s Famous Beautiful Bluff
TIME: Set Up: 8 am. Booths: 1-4pm. Clean Up- after 4pm
COMMITMENT: Shifts!

Fall Family Homecoming Supper
Football, and free dinner event!!!
Show off your school spirit!
Go Admirals!!!!!
This event requires wrapping burgers and sausage dogs, as well as distributing chips and drinks at the “free” fall football homecoming supper. This committee will work in conjunction with the Bayside Booster Club at the Admiral’s Football Field concession stand. We will distribute food to families prior to kickoff at Bayside's Homecoming football game. If you've always dreamed of giving away free food, miss those days working in fast food, or just want to help out from the kindness of your heart.....let me know that you are interested in this committee. It is a fairly small committee, due to the size of our concession stand...but don't let this stop you from signing up!!!!

Giving of Thanks
This is the Thanksgiving Can Drive.
Chairman: Works with Ecumenical Ministries and places collection boxes for canned food around the school and voila....magically the children at Bayside fill these boxes and the committee loads them up and delivers them to Ecumenical Ministries. If showing Bayside's community spirit interests you, please sign up to be on this committee.
Decorations Committee
If you can "Deck the Halls," please sign up for this special committee. This committee keeps the administration building festive during the holiday time!
Teacher Appreciation
What more can you say.....If you want to see some smiley, happy teachers...just chair this committee or get involved with this event. Then every time the teachers see you...it's like magic...they smile!!!! Paige Wise has chaired this for the last couple of years and can guide the new chair and committee to make this a wonderful finish to the year.

Mentor Moms
Bayside’s Welcome Wagon
Chairs: Work with Alan Foster to match new moms with existing moms for an easy transition into the Bayside Family.
Hostess: Organizes Spring and Fall Coffees: Gives Rhonda Brinsfield at Bayside Grill the date of the coffee and the number potentially attending…then provides table decorations to brighten the refreshments table.
Mentor Moms: Greet new families and answer questions they may have regarding Bayside Academy.
Easy Commitment: Welcome Phone Call, Attend Spring New Moms Coffee, Follow Up Summer Phone Call, Attend Welcome Back Coffee.
Box Tops/Bruno's Receipts
Volunteer from the comforts of your home.
Collects Box Tops for Education and Bruno’s Receipts and mail in for Bayside Bucks!
Collection for Box Tops: October and February
Collection for Bruno’s Receipts: December and May
This committee is great for those who like to work from home!

Booster Club and Fine Arts at Bayside (F.A.B.)
These two organizations support all Bayside sports and the fine arts programs at Baysie, respectively. They are member-driven and each has its own volunteer opportunities throughout the year. If you would like to find out more about joining the Booster Club or F.A.B., contact Christy Newman and she will put you in touch with one or both of these organizations!
