Bayside Piano Students Earn Accolades

Bayside students won accolades at several area competitions.
Mrs. Amy Morgan's piano studio has been busy this year. Students performed in several recitals and competitions throughout the year. Listed below are some of the highlights:
  • Ellie Ginger '27, Ty Hartman '22, Colby Hoffman '26, David Klimjack '22, Michael Klimjack '24, Forrest Smith '26, Bricen Turner '29 (student of Jeanne O'Connell), and Amelia Wells '25 participated in the Fall Recital sponsored by the Baldwin County Music Teachers Association
  • In the Piano Virtuoso Competition sponsored by the Mobile Music Teachers Association, Michael Klimjack '24 placed second in the 9th grade category and Ty Hartman '22 placed third in the 11th grade category.
  • In the Sonata Contest sponsored by the Mobile Music Teachers Association, Emilynn Lieb '30 placed first in level 2C, Ellie Ginger '27 placed first in level 5, Ty Hartman '22 placed first in level 19, John Stephen Klimjack '28 placed second in level 3B, Michael Klimjack '24 placed second in level 15, Forrest Smith '26 placed third in level 8 (and also received a 5-year trophy), David Klimjack '22 placed third in level 17, Carlisle Mosteller '30 won an honorable mention in level 2A, Arabella Rowland '28 won an honorable mention in level 4C, and Kate Ginger '23 won an honorable mention in level 16.
  • Ellie Ginger '27 and Kate Ginger '23 were chosen to represent Mrs. Morgan's studio for the 2021 Honors Recital held at the University of Mobile on April 18, 2021.
  • Elizabeth Coumanis '30, Ellie Ginger '27, Kate Ginger '23, Ty Hartman '22, Colby Hoffman '26, David Klimjack '22, John Stephen Klimjack '28, Michael Klimjack '24, Emilynn Lieb '30, Carlisle Mosteller '30, Alice Ogburn '29, Arabella Rowland '28, Forrest Smith '26, and Amelia Wells '25 participated in Mrs. Morgan's Spring Recital on May 8, 2021.
