Ty Postle '23 Named WKRG Scholar-Athlete

The segment will air on WKRG News 5 on Tuesday, April 18 in the 4 p.m. newscast.

 

An AP Scholar, Ty is a National Merit Finalist with a 4.48 weighted GPA. Additionally, he is a member of the Bayside’s Scholars Bowl team and Honor Council, as well as the National Honor Society and is an Eagle Scout.

 

Ty also excels as a runner. He has been named All-State in cross country three times, was the 2021 4A AHSAA Cross Country individual runner-up, and was a 2022 AHSAA Cross Country All-Star. In track and field, he was the 2022 3A AHSAA Outdoor individual runner-up in the 800 meter run, 1600 meter run, and 3200 meter run. He has also been named Outdoor All-State six times and Indoor once. Ty has been a member of three AHSAA State Title teams (2020 1A–3A Indoor, 2021 4A Cross Country, and 2022 3A Outdoor) and a member of six AHSAA State Runner-Up teams.

 

He is the son of Melissa and Eric Postle.
