Bayside Celebrates Veterans Day

Sophomore Ava Bindon opened the ceremony with The Star-Spangled Banner, and second graders River Hughes and Cora Rochofski led the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Nearly 50 veterans with a personal connection to Bayside Academy and its students were recognized individually for their service before the Bayside Band treated the crowd to a lovely rendition of the United States Armed Forces Medley. Veterans from each branch of service stood at attention as their song was played.

 

We were honored to have Commander Robert du Mont ’85, United States Navy (Retired), serve as the keynote speaker, and he gave an inspiring talk to our students and future veterans.

 

Bayside Academy is truly grateful to every veteran for their service to our great country.
