Demonstrating Bayside’s mission to develop the whole student, Upper School students are required to participate in two or more extracurricular opportunities beyond the classroom each year.

The Bayside Academy Scholar’s Bowl Team has participated in the National Academic Championship for the past four consecutive years.

Bayside Academy’s technology incorporates numerous aspects of the 21st century information technology curriculum. Our school community has four computer labs and a portable laptop cart system for student and faculty use, as well as a video conferencing system. Faculty utilizes Smart boards, iPads, LCD projectors, laptops, curriculum based software, digital microscopes, and subscription based educational programs to enhance students’ knowledge.

Built on a state-of-the-art fiber optic network, Bayside Academy is able to provide bandwidth for students and faculty to explore and create content in a variety of areas. High speed switches in each building provide the backbone for VOIP phone service to classrooms and wireless access for student and faculty devices. H.323 video conferencing is available for use by faculty, students and parents to connect with speakers world-wide providing real time conversations about topics ranging from college admissions to the environment. This network allows for the continual growth required by today's quickly changing technological landscape.

Bayside Academy’s Library encompasses multi-level services to our academic school community. Our print collections and online resources/databases support and enhance our Pre-K through 12th grade curricula, while concurrently offering 21st century knowledge-based information. Bayside’s students benefit from library instruction which helps develop them into life-long learners, and cultivates an individual love for reading. Additionally, our Media Center offers 10 computers for easy access to our digital online catalog and online research, as well as student-based projects.
