Basketball - Boys YDL 3rd/4th

The Bayside Academy YDL basketball program is for 3rd–6th graders and practices in the Bayside gymnasium. This program helps introduce young boys to basketball.

About the Coach
Coach Jonathan Vines has been the head varsity boys basketball coach at Bayside since 2022. Coach Vines came to Bayside after serving as the head coach at Belhaven University for eight seasons, where he oversaw the Blazers' transition from NAIA to NCAA Division III membership. Vines’ fast, up-tempo offense had Belhaven consistently ranked as one of the best offensive teams in the American Southwest Conference (ASC). He was the assistant men's basketball coach at Birmingham-Southern College from 2007–2014.

Coach Vines graduated from The University of Mississippi with an English degree and has completed graduate work in English at The University of Alabama at Birmingham and at The University of Mississippi. He is married to Ashton Tatum Vines '04, and they have two daughters: Ann Hudson '32 and Vivi '38.
