Bayside Academy offers many opportunities for self-expression through dance and drama for all ages and grade levels. Drama classes begin in the Early School, and ballet lessons are available for students as young as PK3. Performing Arts courses encourage student exploration and provide opportunities for students to perform in a variety of settings.
The Bayside Drama Department puts on two major productions each school year. These productions provide students with the opportunity to perform and to learn stage production. Typically, one play is performed by Middle School students and the other is performed by students in Upper School.
The Pilot Center is the home to our Arts Department and was the first of its kind on the Eastern Shore. The 14,500-square-foot building provides our young thespians with the chance to perform in a real theatre, our young musicians with state-of-the-art acoustics in which to sound their best during practice and concerts, our young artists with a gallery in which to host exhibits, and our community with a home for guest speakers and special events.
