Seventh grader Forrest Smith won the school Spelling Bee held this afternoon. Fifth grader Caroline Ernest was the runner-up. Forrest will represent Bayside Academy at the Baldwin County Spelling Bee next month.
Congratulations to senior John Coleman Bryars on winning the local Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen Contest. The local Ecor Rouge Chapter of the DAR opens this prestigious contest to five local high schools. J.C. will now compete at the state level.
Congratulations to our 2020 winners of the Daphne Public Library’s “Back-to-School” Bookmark Contest. Bayside had an overall winner and many students placing in the top three for each grade level.
Bayside Academy opened the doors to its very first students on September 8, 1970, with classes from kindergarten through 8th grade. David M. Smith was headmaster, and John A. Robertson was chairman of the Board of Directors.
