Summer Read-a-Palooza Virtual Book Fair

Bayside is participating in a virtual Scholastic book fair this summer! Take a look at all of the great offerings and order some recommended summer reading books. Bayside will receive 25% of the proceeds from the book fair to use to purchase more books for our classrooms. SHOP NOW!

Uniforms

New school uniforms are purchased locally from Zoghby's Uniforms in Daphne (in-person or online).

Used uniforms can be purchased through Bayside’s Used Uniform Sale or the Bayside Academy Uniform Swap Group on Facebook.

Outerwear, Dress Uniform, and Spirit Day items can be purchased at the Bayside Academy bookstore, The Shoppe on the Bluff.

Dress Uniform traditionally occurs every Tuesday. However, due to face covering requirements, Dress Uniform has been suspended for the first quarter.

Summer Studies / Academic Support

Does your child need to review key skills from the previous year or need support with summer reading? Numerous Bayside faculty members are available to provide virtual academic support during the summer months.

The fee for the Summer Studies program is $50 per hour for 1:1 academic support with a Bayside teacher, and each teacher will work with you to coordinate support sessions around your busy summer schedule.

If you are interested in receiving a call from a Bayside teacher, please click on the button below. You should complete a separate form for each child in your family needing services. If you have any questions, please reach out to Marilee Propst at mpropst@baysideacademy.org.

Summer Camps

Bayside traditionally offers a wide variety of highly popular summer camp programs. These programs are a wonderful opportunity for your child(ren) to meet some of their new classmates and become more familiar with our campus. This year, Bayside Summer Camp has been canceled due to COVID-19. However, we are pleased to offer a few virtual experiences.

Parent Organizations

  • Parent Groups
    • There are many ways for parents to get involved at Bayside, and we hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to become an active part of the Bayside family. The Bayside Parents Association works to support the administration and faculty in creating the best possible educational experience. The Community of Concern is a partnership that aims to give parents and students the tools, knowledge, and guidance to help make positive choices.
  • Parent Ambassadors
    • Parent Ambassadors play an important role in welcoming new families to the Bayside Academy family. They serve as liaisons for the community, providing information on everything from Bayside’s culture and traditions to uniforms and carline. New families will be introduced to their grade-specific Parent Ambassador in early August.

Technology Requirements

We have a "bring your own device" model in the Upper School to allow you and your student(s) to choose the laptop device with which you are most comfortable. Students in Grades 8–12 are required to bring an approved laptop device to school each day and should be prepared to use this primary device at any time during the school day. Students in the 7th grade will be issued a Chromebook to be used during the next two school years.

Below is the list of minimum device requirements for compatibility with the Bayside network. For your convenience, we have also included a list of recommended laptops for both PC and Apple platforms. Devices such as iPads, Android tablets, and Windows RT tablets, as well as eReaders such as the Nook and Kindle, do not meet Bayside’s primary device requirements. While these devices are popular with students, they do not support the full range of specific classroom applications.
