Robotics on a Roll

Bayside Academy’s Robotics Teams are on a roll!
Three Bayside teams traveled to Montgomery for a VEX Robotics tournament on Saturday, January 24th, and they did great. The 4th grade team placed 4th and won the Excellence Award, which qualified them for the state tournament. The Middle School girls’ team placed second and won the Design Award. The Middle School boys’ team debuted a brand-new robot and consistently received high scores throughout the entire tournament. They were ranked third going into the finals, and they will only get better as they continue to practice. We are extremely proud of how hard they worked to build a new robot and learn to drive it in a very short amount of time.

We currently have one elementary team and one middle school team qualified for state, and we have high hopes that two more teams will qualify as well.
