The Bayside Academy varsity baseball program practices and competes at the Highway 64 Sports Complex. The varsity team captured the 3A area championship in 2019 and has made 15 consecutive playoff appearances with 10 area championships. The baseball team’s motto is “Be R.A.R.E.” (Be Responsible, Be Accountable, Be Respectful, and Be Energetic).
About the Coach
Coach Matt Limbaugh is entering his third season at Bayside Academy, his first as head coach. For the past two seasons, he has served as the varsity pitching coach. Through his two seasons at Bayside, his staff has accumulated a team ERA of under 3.0. Prior to coming to Bayside, Coach Limbaugh spent eight seasons as the varsity baseball head coach at Scott County Central High School in Missouri. Throughout his tenure at Scott County Central, Coach Limbaugh broke the school record for wins in a season and left as the program's all-time winningest coach. He also had the privilege of helping multiple student-athletes receive athletic scholarships to play at the collegiate level. Coach Limbaugh attended Crichton College in Memphis, Tennessee, on a baseball scholarship. He received his degree in physical education and currently serves as the head of the PE department at Bayside.
