2025 - 2026The Bayside Academy YDL flag football program is for 1st–4th graders. This program helps introduce students to the game of football.
About the Coach
Coach Barrett Trotter was named the head varsity football coach at Bayside Academy in February 2023. Coach Trotter comes to Bayside from Briarwood Christian School in Birmingham where he coached football and taught for two years. Prior to working at Briarwood, he coached at Auburn University and the University of North Carolina. He spent the 2013–2016 seasons in the NFL coaching the Los Angeles (St. Louis) Rams.Additionally, Coach Trotter was a quarterback for Auburn University from 2008–2011 and was the starting quarterback during the 2011 season. He served as a team captain for his senior season. Academically, he was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for four consecutive years and was a National Football Foundation Hampton Scholar.
