Mark Hoffman
Mark is the chairman of the Bayside Strategic Planning Committee. His involvement with Bayside began through his grandson Colby (7th grade). He received a B.S. in Finance from the University of South Alabama in 1974 and an M.B.A. from Harvard University in 1976. Throughout his career, he served in senior management capacities with several firms, both domestically and overseas, including leading the strategic planning function for three multi-billion dollar companies. From 2001 until his retirement from the corporate world in 2007, he served as President and CEO of Corporate Express North America. Upon returning to the Eastern Shore, he established several family companies, including real estate development and property management, aircraft charter, and oil and gas exploration and development. He is a member of the University of South Alabama National Alumni Association Board of Directors and led the development of the Alumni Association strategic plan, and he also served on the committee that developed a new strategic plan for the university in 2013. His wife, Alane, is a graduate of Fairhope High School and the University of South Alabama, and they are both members of Fairhope United Methodist Church. They have three children and five grandchildren.
