Ashley has served on the Bayside Board of Trustees since 2008. A native of Mississippi, she earned her B.S. in art from Mississippi State University and her associate degree in nursing from Hinds Community College. After earning her bachelor’s degree, she worked for the Bill O’Leary Advertising Firm in Jackson, MS, and later was employed in marketing and design for the Clarion-Ledger in Jackson. She earned her associate degree in nursing from Hinds Community College and worked at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center on the medical/surgical floor. She was promoted to assistant nurse manager of that unit before establishing and implementing the first oncology-specific pain management program for the hospital. She retired from nursing in 1998. Ashley and her husband, Mike, moved to Fairhope in 2001. They have three children: Michael '13, Meagan '17, and Patrick (11th grade). At Bayside, Ashley has served as chair of the Bay Affair, president of Bayside Parents Association, and as a member of the Bayside Community of Concern. She also has served on the board of the Eastern Shore Art Center and on the Foundation Board for Thomas Hospital, where she was chair of the hospital’s 2014 Grand Summer Ball.
