Today, Bayside 7th grader Avery Therrell competed in the 800m run at the New Balance Indoor Nationals in Boston, Massachusetts. Avery also competed in the one-mile run yesterday.
Avery placed 20th in the Girls 800m Middle School event with a personal-best time of 2:24.12 and in the Top 30 of the Girls 1 Mile Middle School event with a personal-best time of 5:33.01. For both events, she competed in a national field of more than 80 elite runners.
Bayside’s 2023 yearbook, TheAdmiral’s Log, received a First Class honor rating with a Mark of Distinction for Design from the National Scholastic Press Association.
